Every year, over 30 million people visit the Eiffel Tower in Paris and seven million visitors climb the monument. It is definitely one of the most iconic landmarks in the world. This spring Autodesk announced a collaboration with the City of Paris in its quest to redevelop the area surrounding the Eiffel Tower. The renovation, covering the Trocadéro Gardens and the Champ de Mars, will be finalised just in time for the 2024 Summer Olympics. Several architects all around the world showed their interest for participating in this prestigious project, now there are four teams left. Using BIM is mandatory and the project shows a great example of how a city – and indeed, a government – can harness new digital technologies to accelerate automation in the construction industry. In this episode we have Emmanuel Di Giacomo, BIM Ecosystem Business Development Manager at Autodesk joining us for an exciting talk about this unique BIM project. So please tune in!
